First Aid

 

Being prepared for farm emergencies and able to provide first aid saves lives.


Who should attend the course?

Producers, managers, supervisors, farm hands and anybody else that may be required to provide first aid.

What does the course consist of?

One-day interactive workshop.


The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:

  • planning and preparing for working in a confined space

  • entering, working safely in, and exiting confined spaces.


Unit(s) of competency

We have a number of training providers that deliver first aid training through AgSkilled. They will deliver a selection or combination of the following units of competency:

  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

    and/or

  • HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support

    and/or

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid


Accredited Training

First Aid training is aligned and delivered against vocational education and training requirements.

Successful completion of assessment tasks will result in achieving a Statement of Attainment and can contribute to a nationally-recognised qualification.
