ProSoils - Grain

 

This course is suited to agronomists (resellers and independent consultants) and farm managers in the grain industry seeking excellence in management of soils and plant nutrition.


Who should attend the course?

Agronomists, consultants and farm managers in the grains industry looking to improve nutrient use efficiency and improve soil health.

Participants need to have (or obtain before completing the course) some exposure to practical fertiliser use programs, from soil sampling through to supply and application of fertiliser and/or soil amendment products.


What does the course consist of?

  • One day face-to-face soil pit workshop

  • 14 online modules (estimated 20 hours minimum commitment)

  • 3 x 1 hour webinars

  • Individual mentoring/tuition.


Units of competency

  • AHCWRK301 - Collect samples for a rural production or horticulture monitoring program

  • AHCPCM406 - Develop a soil health and plant nutrition program

  • AHCPCM513 - Conduct environment and food safety risk assessment of plant nutrition and soil fertility programs


Accredited Training

The ProSoils - Grain course is aligned and delivered against vocational education and training requirements.

Successful completion of assessment tasks will result in achieving a Statement of Attainment and can contribute to a nationally recognised qualification.
